In today's economic climate, many people are desperately looking for new ways to supplement their income. On the face of things, completing on-line surveys for cash, vouchers and other rewards seems to be a fail-safe way to make a little extra money. However, not all on-line survey sites are quite as open and honest about their product - and more specifically what they do with your data or how you will get paid - so it can be difficult to know whether or not you can trust them.
Survey Sceptic is a blog that is currently administered by a lone person, that aims to rigorously test site's claims and study their privacy arrangements, TOCs etc. so that you can enter into partnerships with a better understanding of what you are letting yourself in for.
It is hoped that, as the blog develops, people will give their own feedback and suggestions about their experiences, thus making the whole process more transparent and immersive.
